In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.
The questline centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
